AGEM EVENTS!!

  • The Alliance for Graduate Eduacation in Mississippi at  Mississippi State University hosted it annual IMPETUS-PGE Conference April 3 - 4, 2009.   IMPETUS-PGE is an informative program open to selected undergraduate juniors and seniors, primarily in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) areas. The goal of the program is to create awareness about the importance of graduate education, to encourage and empower talented students to pursue graduate education, and to assist students in making informed decisions about graduate education.

The program includes an opening reception, academic departmental visits, campus tours, a student panel discussion, and networking opportunities. This event will also include one plenary session with a keynote speaker and a second plenary session with noted presentations. These discussions will focus on preparing undergraduate students for graduate school with an interactive session to allow students to ask questions that they may have about graduate school. Lastly, there will be an awards luncheon to recognize participants and to provide additional networking opportunities.

This is a great opportunity for students to visit Mississippi State University and receive information needed to succeed in graduate school.
